Position Summary
The clinical research associate will work in the Online Therapy Unit for Service, Education and Research located at the University of Regina. This unit is responsible for developing and evaluating an Internet Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (ICBT) website being used in Saskatchewan to assist therapists in providing services to adults with depression and or anxiety. ICBT involves patients reviewing psychoeducational materials over the internet and therapists providing support and directing therapeutic activities via secure messaging. The clinical research associate will be involved in various activities associated with the project including: providing direct ICBT services to participants accepted to the Wellbeing course and Pain Course. In addition to these responsibilities the incumbent may be asked to be involved in other Unit activities such as education sessions, interviewing, qualitative coding, preparation of reports and Unit educational materials.
Requirements
a) The skills associated with this position would typically be obtained through the completion of a Masters degree in clinical psychology, Social Work, or Educational Psychology. However, BSW with a combination of relevant skills and experience will be considered.
b) The successful candidate must be registered or able to be registered to practice with their professional regulatory body.
c) Must be able to work with other providers and research team
d) Must have strong interpersonal skills.
e) Must have strong writing skills
f) Must have basic computer skills
g) Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
h) Must have strong assessment and problem solving skills.
i) Previous experience working with depression and/or anxiety and in cognitive behavioural therapy is an asset.
j) Preference will be given to candidates that possess a combination of both clinical and research experience.
k) Must have a valid driver's license and road worthy vehicle.
