Job purpose: 

To lead and organise all the academic Departments in the daily operation of the College and to contribute as appropriate to the teaching, development, management and review of the status and progress of the College as a whole and to ensure that the college meets and exceeds the requirements set by the Nepalese Government, Universities and awarding bodies.

These duties will involve leading all the academic related committees within the College, as well as coordinating closely with all academic staff members at the College and the promotion of all College’s activities to external bodies.

For a leading role in the development and implementation of academic strategy and policy in the areas of quality assurance and quality enhancement of the College; for a leading role in establishing and maintaining a reputation for excellence and innovation for the College; for a leading role in developing a culture of constant improvement by ensuring the quality of the College’s academic provision and in particular ensuring student retention rates; For a leading role in promoting development activities in all academic departments and in building upon the College’s organisational strengths; For a leading role in ensuring that student welfare is made a priority; For a leading role in ensuring that standards are met and that the desired qualifications and awards are achieved by the students with high level of pass rate as agreed in the target; For a leading role in ensuring the effective implementation of the student exchange/credit transfer programmes.  

Supports Marketing and Promotional strategies for the College to increase enrolment and admissions figures  Carry out regular guest lecturing as per the needs supports and conducts academic English and study skills teaching
