COORDINATOR, STRATEGIC ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATIONS, GRADE 7– Competition

POSITION OUTLINE:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Enrollment Management Liaison, the Coordinator, Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Communications assists in the development, implementation, assessment, and ongoing enrichment of all SEM - related marketing and communications initiatives. The incumbent also assists in thedevelopment of a strategic plan for the SEM Liaison unit as a whole by liaising with key SEM stakeholders in order to achieve the institution’s student enrollment, retention, and engagement objectives. The incumbent works closely with the Director, Communications Services, and with other communication practitioners and committees in Studen Services and across the Faculties to oversee the production of SEM - related marketing and communication materials and to continually assess their quality, strategic effectiveness, and consistency with institution - wide initiatives. The Coordinator researches the usage and effectiveness of the marketing materials developed and reports findings to key stakeholders university - wide and recommends improvements for the future. The incumbent administers the marketing and communications budget for the SEM Liaison unit and provides operational support to other staff regarding SEM - related marketing and communications activities. The Coordinator supervises peer educators, co-op students, or other temporary staff as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing and Communications or a related field and three years related experience, including experience in the design, planning, and execution of marketing and communications plans, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of communication, promotion, and marketing principles and practices, as well as strategies using print and electronic media.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent project planning and management skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, conflict-resolution, interpersonal, and communication (oral, written, and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent consensus building skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, and relationship management skills (i.e. external providers).
  • Good financial administration skills.
  • Skilled in organizing administrative and planning systems and drafting procedures and reports.
  • Ability to exercise mature judgment, initiative, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and desktop publishing programs, such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

SALARY RANGE: $53,396-$63,764per annum
START DATE: ASAP
